‘The goal of the blog is to share the many ways we can make our lives and those around us better,” says UAB Wellness Director Lauren Whitt, PhD. “One of the missions of the UAB Wellness program is to build bridges across the UAB Medicine and University campus, and Windows into Wellness is a fantastic platform to do just that. Our faculty and staff’s expertise in nutrition, health, and fitness help illuminate simple steps to making each day just a little bit healthier and happier.’
In addition to its helpful and inspiring tips, Whitt’s blog posts also support several UAB Wellness programs, from diet and exercise tips during Scale Back Alabama, to a workout plan for the Heart Walk. Beginning July 15, the blog will feature three weeks of guest posts from across campus, from garden and healthy food experts to physical fitness authorities.”
