The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Department of Nutrition Sciences invites healthy women to participate in a study. The purpose of the CVD study is to look at why some people are at higher risk for heart disease and diabetes.

You may qualify if:

  • You are a Women
  • You are 19-45 or 50-70 years old
  • You do NOT have diabetes
  • You exercise less than 2 hours per week
  • You are willing to travel to UAB for screening and 2 testing visits

Participants in this study will recieve:

  • their blood sugar and cholesterol
  • their body density, fat mass, and muscle mass
  • compensation up to $150 (you will be paid for participation)
