The Beatrice Family and Friends Club

Do you want to drop a few pounds or just want to get in shape? These are a wonderful group of people to get in contact with. They do the walk and talk, low impact aerobics, zumba, and yoga. They are small in number but growing.

During this year, the Adult Summer Reading events at Hoover Public Library are focusing on health and fitness. Join them each Wednesday from July 13th - July 27 to log some steps and chat about books, movies and more during an easy stroll around Howard Lake before the library opens. The walk begins at and ends at the library.

This is our friendly family based pharmacy that has a real caring attitude and shows so much support to the community. Interlink is located beside  Dr. Robinson's office. HAPPY FEET FRIDAYS! at Railroad Park. Get your feet moving in the right direction with a 60-minute low to high impact walk/run course designed to wake up, shape up, or maintain the inner athlete in you. Happy Feet Friday will teach you proper walk/run techniques to maximize your current fitness goals. Walking is safe and simple way to be active! So whether...

UAB Tuesday Walking Group

No need to walk alone. Join others every Tuesday in August to train for the Blazer Fun Run or just get some social exercise. Meet at 5 p.m. in the West Pavilion Atrium and walk to and from Railroad Park.

Railroad Park

Railroad park is open 7 am to 11 pm, 7 days per week. There is no cost for park entrance. Participants may choose to walk, jog or bike the 3/4 mile loop around the park. Or join one of the free fitness classes at 6:00 PM Monday - Friday. There is also outdoor gym equipment and two play areas for children with modern playground equipment and climbing dome.

Insulindependence Birmingham Chapter

The Insulindependence (IN) Birmingham Chapter is led by IN Captain Mason Cross. IN events are community fitness gatherings led by IN chapter leaders. The goal is to create fun and interactive environments that inspire participants to stay fit with help from their peers. Whether a person is living with  diabetes,or simply wants to be involved, our...

Southside Baptist Church has an ongoing neighborhood walking club. Additionally the  2nd Sunday of each month, they have a light lunch with a guest speaker which is occasionally health related.
